NBI head hit me -- volunteer
BY CARLA GOMEZ

A volunteer at the National Bureau of Investigation office in Bacolod City yesterday claimed he was hit several times by NBI agent-in-charge Jose Hermie Monsanto at their office in Bacolod City.

Daryl Cadagat, a volunteer who works at the Bacolod NBI office as part of the group operating the computers that issue clearances, said he was hit several times in the nape and shoulders, his uncle Edgar Cadagat said.

His nephew was at a loss for words to describe why Monsanto did it , Edgar Cadagat, said adding that he will report the matter to Justice Secretary Leila de Lima after having the incident recorded in a police blotter.

Monsanto told the DAILY STAR it was not true that he hit Cadagat and he can file a case against him if it is true.

He had told Cadagat not to report to the NBI office because of “fixing” issues, Monsanto said, but did not elaborate.*CPG
