Cops nab kidnap suspect

A suspect in a kidnapping case, arrested recently by operatives of the PNP Intelligence Group in Jaro, Iloilo, was among the 10 most-wanted persons in Region 4-A, with a bounty of P200,000, on his head, police records showed yesterday.

Supt. William Senoron, chief of the Regional Intelligence Unit 6, and Chief Inspector Henry Aala, in tandem with the Police Regional Office 6, led the arrest of kidnapping suspect Peter John Dumdumaya.

Dumdumaya had a pending arrest warrant for kidnapping and serious illegal detention, in connection with the abduction of Balwinder Kumar, an Indian national, in Morong, Rizal, in 2008, police records showed.

For the arrest of Dumdumaya, Chief Supt. Agrimero Cruz, regional police director of Western Visayas, announced yesterday that he will confer a Medalya ng Kasanayan on members of the RIU 6 headed by Senoron.

Police investigation also showed that Dumdumay was also suspected to be a member of a kidnap-for-ransom group headed by one Inderit Singh, alias Goldy.*GPB
