The 20th Pana-ad sa Negros Festival will showcase local products at the Trade Fair and Exhibits today until April 14 at the Panaad Stadium, led by the Technology and Livelihood Development Center, a press release from the Capitol said.
Participating entrepreneurs will compete for the citations for Pana-ad Best Product and the Top Grosser Award, the press release said.
The Pana-ad Best Product category will be chosen among the home furnishings, home accessories and personal accessories, while specialty food products will compete for the Best Market Potential, Best Innovative Product and the Best New Product categories.
“This is one unique feature of our festival. Panaad serves as a vehicle even for those engaged in small businesses and home-based industries,” Gov. Alfredo Marañon Jr. said.
Another category is the Top Grosser Award that will be given to the group with the gross sales of P500,000 or more, the press release said.
Consolidated sales shall include sales from gifts, toys, hard wares, specialty food, furniture and agri-based products, festival executive director Marlin Sanogal said in the press release.
A cash prize of P50,000 will be awarded to the highest grosser, while P20,000 each will be given to the next top three, the press release added.*
