The 3 rd inter-agency seminar workshop on the conduct of free, credible, honest, orderly and peaceful elections will be organized by the Dr. Jovito Salonga Center for Law and Development, and the Commission on Elections of Negros Oriental, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. today at the Moot Court of the Villareal Hall in Silliman University, a press release from the SU said.
The activity aims to gather agencies involved in the conduct of elections in Negros Oriental to discuss anticipated problems and propose solutions to the coming May 13 polls.
This is to create a strong and efficient network of offices and persons who are able to identify, strategize, prevent, and resolve problems and challenges during the elections, the press release added.
The workshop, to be spearheaded by dean Mikhail Lee Maxino of the College of Law, is expected to be attended by the Comelec, Board of Election Inspectors, the Philippine National Police, and representatives from the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting and other nongovernment organizations, the press release also said.*
