Don't be a cry baby.
This was the unsolicited advice of the United Negros Alliance in a press release yesterday to former ally-turned-political nemesis, Vice Gov. Genaro Alvarez, on his claims that the camp of UNA re-electionist Gov. Alfredo Marañon, Jr. is engaging in “dirty politics”.
UNA was reacting to reports about Alvarez criticizing the governor for “dirty politics.”
On Alvarez's claims that Maranon's camp is into “dirty politics” UNA said: It does not know what propaganda or dirty politics he is crowing about. It said he must have been fed wrong information again.
It also said Negrenses, especially the radio listeners, TV News viewers and newspaper readers, were handed out black propaganda materials against Marañon, who was shown beside a kangaroo, and later in another press conference, also at Alvarez's office, media people were given anti-Marañon photoshop pictures showing him standing beside a sheep in the middle of a field.
Marañon, when asked for a reaction, said it is flimsy and childish posturing and not worth responding to.
“In politics, there is no room for cry babies; for the onion-skinned,” Maranon said, as he reiterated his call for a high level of campaigning, the press release said.*
