Aquino arriving in NegOr
BY JUDY F. PARTLOW

President Benigno Aquino III will arrive in Negros Oriental today to attend two political rallies and proclaim the official candidates of the Liberal Party in the province.

The brief stopover of the President en route to Cebu City is purely political as there is no official presidential activity lined up during his visit, the Philippine Information Agency said at a briefing yesterday.

Aquino and his party are expected to arrive from Dipolog City at around 2 p.m. and will fly to Bais City.

The entourage, including local LP bets, led by Rep. Jocelyn Limkaichong (Neg. Or., 1 st District), who is running for governor in the May polls, will then motorcade to the Bais City ballfield where a crowd of about 10,000 supporters are expected to gather.

The President will fly back to Dumaguete for the proclamation rally set at 4 p.m. at the Quezon Park. He is expected to be welcomed by Vice Mayor Alan Gel Cordova, Councilor Joe Kenneth Arbas and other local LP candidates.

Cordova is LP's bet for mayor of Dumaguete with Arbas as his running mate.*JFP
