Vice Governor Genaro Alvarez Jr. yesterday said he has a baby face maybe, but is not a cry baby, a press release from his camp said.
Alvarez was reacting over dyEZ MBC to a statement of Gov. Alfredo Marañon earlier.
If there's a cry baby, it is not him, it's the governor, Alvarez said in the press release.
He recalled that when Board Member Patrick Lacson suggested that the last tranche of the salary increase of the capitol employees be implemented effective January 2013, when the budget is approved, Maranon told Lacson to go back to the rehab, the press release said.
And when he estimated his lead against Maranon to be around 200,000 votes in the coming elections, the governor dared him to a bet. And when Comelec said betting is an election offense, he said it was only a joke, he added, the press release said.
The most recent is when Maranon filed libel raps against Pulupandan Mayor Magdalena Pena because the Mayor said he was 80 years old and delusions and dementia are indications of Alzheimers.
Alvarez said he could not recall a single instance when he acted as a cry baby even if the camp of the governor floods him with black propaganda day in and day out, it also said.
The most recent and desperate so far is were rumors that came out that he suffered a stroke when he was actively campaigning in Cadiz Viejo on Tuesday.
Despite this, Alvarez and the LOVE Negros Team are in high spirits and already see victory in the May 13 elections, the press release added.*
