Local cagers join  
CP Edge Clinic

Athletes from elementary, high school and college levels joined the CP Edge Basketball Clinic held April 8 -12 at the University of St. La Salle, a press release from USLS said.

Under Lasallian alumnus and Vietnam National Team Coach Ricky Magallanes, 61 young basketeers joined the clinic for 12 under level, juniors/aspirants and college basketball players. The participants were given trainings focused on the fundamental skills of the game, the press release said.

CP Edge Basketball ensured that each player’s performance on the court exceeds preset goals which are to improve weaknesses, polish strengths and condition the athlete’s performance all-season long, the press release said.

Magallanes was assisted by USLSvarsity coaches John Villanueva for12 under, Marloni Gonzalez for juniors/aspirants, and Eugene Opu-an and Philip Famucol for college athletes.

Other players  from St. John Institute and St. Scholastica’s Academy also joined the five-day basketball clinic.

The clinic was presented in collaboration with the University Alumni Relations Office, the Center for External Relations, the Integrated School Sports Office, and the college Varsity Sports Office, the press release added.*
