Scholars’ parents
receive financial aid


Parents of PAGKAON Scholars of Negros Occidental recently received a total of P35,000 in recognition for their efforts to send their children to school despite their financial difficulties, Dina Genzola, senior agriculturist of the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist, said yesterday.

The parents, whose children graduated magna cum laude and cum laude, received P10,000 and P5,000 in cash each, Genzola said.

The parents were Pilar and Joel Dan Belarmino, Maribel and Arnilfo Baruc, Judith and Isidro Edrama, Rhona and Arim Natibo-oc, Nenita and Joelito Vizcaya, and Ronita Tagle.

Their children were Janine Ann Belarmino (magna cum laude) Shiella Baruc (cum laude), Cristine Edrama (cum laude), Rachel Anne Natibo-oc (cum laude), Jonell Vizcaya (cum laude), and Marion Joseph Tagle (cum laude).

They graduated from the Central Philippine State University, Visayas State University, and Aklan State University.*LTG
