PNP chief confers medal
on Bacolod anti-drug cops
Philippine National Police director general Alan Purisima conferred Medalya ng Kagalingan (efficiency medal) on personnel of the Bacolod City Police Anti-illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Group at the Camp Martin Delgado in Iloilo City Wednesday.
CAIDSTOG chief, Senior Insp. Neil Exaltado, received the medal in behalf of his men, BCPO officer-in-charge, Senior Supt. Edgardo Ordaniel, said yesterday.
CAIDSTOG operatives apprehended robbery suspect Errol Donguines, “alias Bulldog”, 27, of Purok Narra Baybay, Brgy. 8, while they were on their way to a stakeout operation in the barangay at about 1:40 p.m. on April 1.
Donguines fought back and took an MK2 pineapple-type grenade from his pocket, but the policemen were able to subdue him and wrestle it from him.
Donguines has a pending arrest warrant for robbery, issued by Regional Trial Court Judge Pepito Gellada, who set his bail at P100,000, police records show.
A woman claimed that Donguines and his companion, Fermin Prado, who was shot dead in Brgy. Mansilingan, Bacolod, two years ago, had robbed her of P142,000 in jewelry, cash and cellular phones.*APN
