WNU banners triple-header in
Jr. PBA provincial elims

West Negros University’s Jr. Mustangs, University of St. La Salle’s Junior Stingers, and opening day winner Mansilingan Christian Academy will face separate rivals as basketball action in the 2nd Coca-Cola Youngstars Basketball League resume at the WNU Gym today.

Mansilingan cagers will face Pony at 8:30 a.m., while the Jr. Mustangs will clash against the Legend at 10 a.m. In the afternoon, Bacolod Tay Tung High School and USLS will be testing each other’s strength.

The young Mustangs are eyeing a back-to-back win following a 75-64 triumph over defending champion UNO-Recoletos Junior Rams last week.

Suiting up for WNU are Jason Celiz, John Pastias, Ericson Yulo, Jaycee Adjei, and Raymund Umayao, who delivered impressive performance in the game against UNO-R.

Also seeking another win are the MCA Eagles, after posting an 86-79 victory over Tangub Christian Academy in the curtain-raiser, while the USLS Jr. Stingers hope to avenge its 85-84 loss against the Rams at the expense of BTTHS.*NAB
