A party fit for a princess
What are little girls made of? Sugar and spice and everything nice.
The birthday party of London-based Andrea Camille Ledesma Javier, who turned seven August 10, was straight out of a fairy tale. Loving Lola Shirley Ledesma and Mommy Teresa Javier conceptualized the grand shindig – “mini debut” - and made sure everything was perfect for the special day of their pretty little princess.
The venue was Planta Centro Hotel and Residences, that was transformed into a virtual fairyland complete with pink, fuchsia and purple balloons. Princess Anica, short for Andrea Camille, was on hand to greet her kiddie guests in her colorful attire of Cinderella-inspired gown, complete with all the sparkles and ruffles that every girl dreams of.
Looking at their precious birthday celebrator, Lola Shirley and Mummy Teresa couldn’t help but remember how baby Anica almost didn’t make it. Teresa began having eclampsia on her seventh month of pregnancy and when the baby was born, she was almost lifeless and had to be placed in the neo-natal unit of the hospital in London for more than two months. Having survived that ordeal was almost a miracle and now, the family is so grateful to have their little darling so full of life in her seventh year.
Video messages sent by her British teachers in London were so full of praises for Anica, whom they described as “so gorgeous”, “well-behaved and talented”. At the “ball”, the little guests gracefully waltzed and twirled in the cotillion dance choreographed by Ching Alcala, while their mommies, daddies and grannies oohhed and aahed in the background. Anica’s cake even had a royal touch with a little crown on top. That special day was the best birthday Anica said she ever had.
You’re a little lady now, Anica. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!*
