PAL flight diverted
to Pampanga

Foul weather caused a Philippine Airlines flight bound for Manila from the Bacolod-Silay Airport to be diverted to the Clark International Airport in Pampanga yesterday.

The flight that was to take off at 10:15 a.m. from the Bacolod-Silay Airport flew out at 11:25 a.m. and landed at Clark 1:06 p.m. where it stayed until the weather in Manila cleared. It finally took off for Manila at 2:22 p.m., a PAL source said.

Other flights flying out of the Bacolod-Silay Airport were also delayed, the same source said.

A PAL and PAL Express advisory yesterday said the massive, Metro Manila-wide floods in the last two days, that led to numerous flight delays and cancellations, has not only inconvenienced its passengers but also prevented many of its staff from reporting for duty, especially at the airport.

“For this, we apologize. We would also wish to appeal to all our passengers for understanding as we do everything to accommodate your travel needs during these difficult days”, the advisory said.*CPG
