Sabado Club secures final seat
in Bro. Ceci women's volleyball

The Sabado Club volleybelles beat defending champion Silay City in three straight sets, 25-16, 25-21, 25-13, to advance into the September 1 finals of the Women's Class B division of the 5 th Bro. Ceci Memorial Cup Volleyball Championship at the University of St. La Salle college covered court.

With the win, the Malot Lozada-mentored Sabado Club now awaits the winner in Saturday's game between Silay and USLS Team B for the championship showdown.

USLS B earned the right of facing Silay after turning back La Carlota squad in four sets, 25-11, 25-13, 22-25, and 25-20 in their Aug. 25 match-up. La Carlota bowed out of the contest at fourth place, while the loser in the USLS B-Silay tussle will settle for third place.

In Men's B Division II, No Air/Volleylife avenged their five-set loss in the elimination round by defeating St. Joseph La Salle in three straight sets 25-20, 25-22, and 25-19.

Volleylife now advances into the final three of the tournament and will play against La Carlota in their next assignment after the latter yielded to a thrilling five-setter against USLS-IS, 23-25; 22-25; 25-13; 25-19; and 16-14.

The Jimmy Golez-managed APP Negros Sun.Star topped the Men's B Division II after stopping San Carlos Cit in three sets, 25-18, 25-8, and 25-18. APP Negros Sun.Star takes on No. 2 team San Carlos City at 10:15 a.m. this Saturday, hoping to secure the first ticket to the championship.*NAB
