7-A-Side football festival
set in Talisay Sept. 7–8

Talisay City will hold a football festival on September 7 to 8 in celebration of the 15th Minulu-an Festival in honor of the city’s patron saint, San Nicolas de Tolentino.

Invitation have been sent to all cities and towns, schools and football clubs in the province, who are interested to join in the two-day bootfest by city sports administrator Warren Concepcion.

The competition, dubbed as the “Mayor Doc Eric Invitational 7–Aside Football Festival”, will feature 10 age-groups and matches will be played at the Carlos Hilado Memorial State College pitch and the Talisay City football field.

Participating teams are assured to play not less than four matches. Scheduled to play September 7 are the teams joining the 10 Under Boys / Girls or mixed, 14 Under Boys, 16 Under Boys, 18 Under Boys, 35 Up Men’s, and Ladies Open Matches on September 8 are among the teams seeing action in the 8 Under Boys/Girls or mixed, 12 Under Boys, 14 Under Girls, and Men’s Open.

Those interested to join the competition are advised to bring the final list of their players, any identification card of the team members, certified true copy of birth certificates or NSO copy, or passport, except for Men’s and Ladies’ Open.

Each team will be allowed a maximum of 12 players and three officials. A registration fee of P100 per team will be collected to augment hosting expenses.

Assembly time and registration will be from 7 to 8 a.m. on September 7 and 8 at the Talisay City Football Field in Carmel Subdivision, beside the City Gymnasium.

Those interested to join the football festival should confirm their participation on or before September 4. For teams interested to stay in the festival venue, classrooms will be made available for their lodging but they have to bring their own beddings.*NAB
