5TH STRAIGHT WIN
Ateneo beats FEU

MANILA – The Ateneo Blue Eagles extended their winning streak to five after defeating league leader Far Eastern University Tamaraws, 92-73, in the second round of the UAAP 76 men's basketball at the Smart Araneta Coliseum yesterday.

Juami Tiongson registered his new career-high of 20 points while Kiefer Ravena flirted with a double after finishing with 18 points and nine rebounds for the Blue Eagles.

Ateneo sizzled in the first half as the team registered 59 percent field goal shooting while the Tamaraws shot a miserable 27 percent from the field.

Terrence Romeo poured in a 19-point output while RR Garcia finished with 11 points.

Ateneo continued their second round rampage after a slumping first round to improve their record to 6-4 while FEU rolled to 8-3 with this loss.*PNA
