PDEA nabs No. 2 in
city drug watchlist

Members of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency apprehended the suspected number two drug personality on their drug watchlist in Bacolod City and Negros Occidental, during a buy-bust operation yesterday in Talisay City.

Nabbed was Mary Rose Celes, alias “Gwapa”, 38, of Brgy. Banago, Bacolod City, and recovered from her were four elongated sachets of suspected shabu and P600 in marked money.

PDEA agent James Afuang said Celes is the number two drug personality in their watchlist in Bacolod City and Negros Occidental, and number 12 in Region 6.

He said she was apprehended at about 3:20 p.m. yesterday at the Spa by the Sea in Zone 15, Talisay City.

She is now detained at the Talisay Police Station for violation of Section 5 and 11 of R.A. 9165, or an Act Instituting the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act, Repealing R.A. 6425, or the Dangerous Drugs Act of 1972, as amended, he added.*CGS
