Basecom rolls to 7th straight win
in Fil-Sino 2nd Conference cagefest

Basecom is one game away from sweeping the double elimination round as the squad coasted to its 7th straight victory by blowing away Sweet Crystal, 118-82, in the latest Class B match-up of the Fil-Sino All Asian Countertrade Inc. 2nd Conference Inter-Company Basketball Tournament at Tay Tung High School Po Hang Gym.

In Class A action, AACI Transport pulled off an upset win against top see JSY Transport, 80-70.

After training by one point in the first quarter at 21-22, Basecom dominated Sweet Crystal in the next three quarters by taking a double digit lead en route to a lopsided ending.

Adonis Rosales sizzled with 36 points from Basecom as Keith Banzon added 22, RJ Iligan delivered 21 points, 15 of them during the second quarter, Leonard scored 17 points, Jubert Katalbas contributed 11, and Arian Chua chipped in 6 points.

Devin Villacruz topscored for Sweet Crystal with 22 points backstopped by Chingsan Su with 20, JP Tan hit 19 poitns, Daniel Lo finished with 11, and Alberto Dichavez tallied 8 points.

Meanwhile, JSY Transport streaked to a 21-19 first quarter lead as Ralph Richard Tan connected with three treys while Rey Pandoro hit 10 perimeter points.

AACI Transport bounced back in the second quarter as Brian Tan scored nine points to tie the score at halftime, 38-all.

Maintaining their advantage, ACCI Transport kept JSY at bay in the next two quarter to register their fourth win in seven outings, while JSY absorbed its second defeat in the tournament with five wins.

Arvin Gustilo led AACI Transport with 26 points, Frank Madrid picked up 17, Bren Tajonera scored 9, Daniel Ong and Joseph Tiu delivered 6 points each,

Pandoro tallied 21 points for JSY Transport as Arnol Laureño churned in 19, Tan finished with 12 points, Johnnyson Yu picked up 8, and Ryan Alegario with 6 points.*NAB
