The Capitol boys were pushed to the limit by PPBC at 03-all in the first extension as Tol Goutana split his charities with 9.5 seconds left after PoNo's Tommy Andren scored underneath.

PPBC forced the second overtime with a triple for a 115-all score after Rex Bayer canned his free throws with 14.9 seconds left. Andren's desperate heave from the arc was short with 2.8 seconds left.

PoNO was trailing 57-59 at halftime but Tatang Laureno, Hermie Derwill and Bert Celis combined to take the lead at 92-89 with 4:58 in regulation, the press release said.

Meanwhile, UNAC started slow and trailed TBAC in the first two quarters, 18-24 and 34-41.

Former UNO-R Ram Joemarie Lipa provided power for UNAC to allow his team to take the half at 57-54.

A split free throw from UNAC tied the score at 85-all as the game went to overtime.

In the 5-minute extension, Lipa scored from underneath for a 97-99 score then TBAC’s Boy Geanga added the final point from the stripe with 5.4 seconds. UNAC missed its last three-point attempt as time expired.
