Running priest to join
HR day in Escalante

Fr. Robert Reyes will be on a two-day visit to Bacolod City and Negros Occidental, where he will lead the International Human Rights Day celebration in Escalante City tomorrow.

Reyes, known as the “running priest”, was invited by the Partido Lakas ng Masa Negros, and will lead the run for families and victims of extra-judicial killings in Escalante City.

PLM-Negros said Reyes’ run is timely as international human rights day organizers led by the United National Commission on Human Rights and the faithful are encouraging the people to reflect on victims of torture, incarceration and injustice.

Local organizers said they also expect a big turnout when Reyes spearheads the run in Escalante City tomorrow.*
