San Enrique aids Manapla

Financial and relief goods from San Enrique town were turned over to the victims of Typhoon Yolanda in Municipality of Manapla recently by Mayor Mario Magno.

San Enrique extended P 38, 60 of which P30,000 was from the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Quick Response Fund, through the SB Resolution No. 2013–053; and P8,760 donations from various sectors and individuals in the town, a press release from San Enrique said.

It also gave 38 sacks and boxes of used clothing and 26 boxes and packs of canned goods, noodles and rice contributed by the DepEd District of San Enrique, Barangay Councils, employees and the residents.

Magno said he hopes the assistance will help support typhoon victims Manapla and also expressed gratitude to those who showed care and shared their resources, the press release said.

Present at the turnover were Manapla Mayor Lourdes Socorro Escalante, Councilors Carina Denise Hinlo-Aguilar and Marcos Bruno Escalante, Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office staff Terence Rubiato, San Enrique accountant Celedonio Ofalla, MSWDO Phillips Ayson, Office for Senior Citizens Affairs head Dorothy Apolinario, and  Carmen Inventor and Felipe Sanchez of DepEd San Enrique. *
