The police arrested two suspected drug pushers in Bacong town, Negros Oriental, during a raid conducted by virtue of a search warrant issued by Regional Trial Court Branch 33 Executive Judge Fe Lualhati Bustamante, at around 5:05 a.m. Monday.
Police said the raid at the house of Juanito Austero Auria, 56, of Barangay San Miguel in Bacong, yielded two big sachets of suspected shabu, with an estimated street value of P50,000.
Several small plastic packets of suspected shabu, disposable lighters, mobile phones, a digital weighing scale and a small hacksaw were also confiscated from Auria, who was arrested together with Joel Real, 34, also of San Miguel.
Real was at the house of Auria when the search warrant was served.
A search on Real yielded two plastic sachets of suspected shabu, the police added.
Auria and Real are now detained at the police station and charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, were filed against them yesterday, the police added.*JFP
