BUS G resets tourney

The Basketball Unified Sports Group announced the rescheduling of its 2nd Invitational Tournament that was previously set later this month, a press release from the group.

Tournament organizers and BUS G adviser Bing Soyao said that the Feb. 16 meeting of team representative was also postponed.

Soyao said the new schedule of the tournament will give the six participating teams in the 40-up category and the four squads in the 50-Up division enough time to finalize their respective lineup.

Entry fee in the tournament is P4,500 including a refundable default bond of P500. Games will be played on Sundays at West Negros University gym and the “No pay, No play” rule will be strictly applied, the press release said.

Confirmed to join are two 40-up squads and one 50-up team from host BUS G, St. Johns Institute Alumni, Negros Basketball Group c/o Bert Pabon, BACIWA, NeProAC, Rite MedPharma, and Homesite Basketball Organization.

Soyao said the tournament will most likely start early next month.*
