The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board is not filing charges against operators of public utility vans plying the Bacolod-Silay Airport route and vice versa, of overcharging for collecting fares of P150 before its petition for fare increase is agreed, its regional director, Romulo Bernardes, said yesterday.
Bernardes said the LTFRB approved fare rate is P52, however, when he assumed office in 2011, he learned that operators are not implementing the rates, and had been collecting the P150 basic fare since the airport started its operation in 2008.
He said LTFRB is not tolerating this as technically, they are overcharging the passengers, he said.
