Fire hits 21 houses
BY GILBERT BAYORAN

About P2.8 million worth of properties went up in smoke after fire hit 21 houses in Kabankalan and San Carlos cities in Negros Occidental, Bureau of Fire Protection reports showed yesterday.

Thirteen houses were razed to the ground, while five others were partially damaged, when fire struck a relocation site in Brgy. Hilamonan, Kabankalan City, on Feb. 16.

BFP arson investigators placed the damage at P2.8 million.

The fire reportedly originated from a lighted match, a minor was playing with, the BFP said.

Two other houses were also destroyed, and another one partially damaged by fire yesterday in Brgy. Rizal, San Carlos City.

Nobody was hurt in the two fire incidents, the BFP reports also showed. *GPB
