Parricide charges are being readied against a 52-year-old man tagged in the fatal stabbing of his wife at their house in Brgy. Singcang-Airport, Bacolod City Sunday, Women and Children's Complaints Desk chief, Insp. Jovy Cabcaban, yesterday said.
Cabcaban said their manhunt operation to arrest the suspect continues and they will still file charges against him before the Bacolod City Prosecutor's Office any time this week.
The children of the 49-year-old victim, said, in a radio interview, that they want to behead their father to make him pay for what he did.
Aside from allegedly killing his wife, the suspect is also wanted for frustrated homicide, although the WCCD operatives have no idea who was the victim and who issued the arrest warrant against him, Cabcaban told the DAILY STAR.
The wife, who was suffering from tuberculosis, was found bathed in her own blood, and already lifeless, by her 19-year-old son after midnight Sunday.
The police tagged her husband as the suspect on the claims of their neighbors that he was seen scaling the roof of their house to get inside hours before his wife was found dead.
Cabcaban also recalled that the victim had lodged a complaint against the suspect last month, claiming that he was battering her. The couple had been separated for some time now because of marital woes.*APN
