skilled workers

The Career Planners Specialist International Inc. is conducting a special recruitment activity at the Public Employment Service Office today until Thursday for medical professionals and technical and skilled workers for job vacancies abroad, PESO manager Moises de la Cruz, said yesterday.

De la Cruz said CPSII represents 31 companies that include hospitals, universities, dental clinics, health centers, construction companies, restaurants, and fast food chains.

He said they need medical professionals like registered nurses, physical therapists, respiratory therapists, vascular, echo, radiotherapy, and dental technicians, medical physicists, dental nurses and assistants, optometrists, bio-medical engineers, and laboratory technicians.

For skilled and technical jobs, the agency needs plumbers, tile setters, finishing carpenters, mural and decorative painters, interior designers, building electricians, agricultural engineers, veterinarians, boat captains, press machine operators, painters, welders, and architects, de la Cruz said.

He also said they need domestic helpers, sewers, tutors, cooks, babysitters, private midwives, tailors, embroiderers, salesmen, cleaners, jewelry designers, waiters, cake decorators and designers, pastry chefs, and restaurant managers.

Applicants have to bring three copies of their resume, certificate of employment, college and high school diplomas, transcript of records, training and seminar certificates, 2x2 pictures, Professional Regulatory Commission certificates (if any).

De la Cruz also asked applicants to wear decent attire during interviews, pointing out that wearing of slippers and shorts are not allowed. *LTG
