From 2003 to 2012 Mambukal Resort in Murcia town, Negros Occidental, has made a profit of P72.6 million, of which P13.1 million was earned last year, resort manager Ellen Marie Jalandoni Vasquez said yesterday.
Vasquez said that from January to December 2012 the resort earned P44.3 million and had total expenses of P30.9 million for a total cash profit of mP13.1 million.
This means the resort earnings in 2012 increased by P8.23 million, or about 23 percent over 2011, she said.
From 2003 to 2012 the resort had 2,555,681, of which 301,795 visited in 2012, she added.
Meanwhile, Vasquez explained that the P3.7 million in resort collectibles from government officials and offices were for seminars, workshops and meetings.
Already paid are collectibles from Board Members Patrick Lacson of P4,000 and Salvador Escalante of P8,000, she added.
Collectibles from Board Member Emilio Yulo of P601,660, Vice Governor Genaro Alvarez of P41,050, and Board Members Renato Gustilo – P20,525 and Nehemias dela Cruz – P20,525 are being processed, she said.
She said Yulo’s account was for meetings and workshops with his constituents, while Gustilo, Dela Cruz and Alvarez had divided the expenses for a seminar for their constituents.
The office of Gustilo spearheaded the seminar, she said.
Other government offices are also processing the paperwork so they can pay the resort, she added.*CPG
