That was what Police Regional Office-6 Director Chief Supt. Agrimero Cruz replied yesterday when asked about the reason for the relief of Negros Occidental Provincial Police Officer-in Charge Senior Supt. Milko Lirazan.
Lirazan, who served as OIC of NOPPO for five months, swapped position with PRO-6 Human Resource Doctrine and Development Division head, Senior Supt. Celestino Guara.
Guara, a former Bacolod City Police Director, will assume as NOPPO OIC tomorrow.
Rumors circulated that the relief of Lirazan has something to do with politics, but Cruz told the DAILY STAR that he is not privy as to who requested for it, and the reason for it, because the orders came directly from Camp Crame.
Cruz said Lirazan's relief is not a big deal as officers come and go.
He said that no formal turnover of command will take place in NOPPO because Lirazan is only an OIC.
Lirazan assumed the post of OPPO OIC in September after the relief of Senior Supt. Alan Guisihan, who was appointed chief of directorial staff of the Police Regional Office 6, in Iloilo.
Cruz will arrive in Bacolod City Police tomorrow for the turn-over of command at the BCPO headquarters.*APN
