PNP: Gun ban violator
arrested in Pontevedra

Another violator of the gun ban was arrested Saturday in Brgy. General Malvar, Pontevedra, the third suspect arrested in Negros Occidental, since it was implemented Jan. 13.

The arrested suspect was identified as Ofemie Cadunngon, 18, of Sitio Montilla, Brgy. Baga-as, Hinigaran by Chief Inspector Rico Santotome, Police Community Relations Officer of the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office.

The arrest of Cadungon by Senior Inspector Mary Rose Pico yielded a. homemade .38 caliber revolver with two live ammunition and an empty shell.

Two other gun ban violators were also arrested and charged in court in Murcia and Bacolod City, for having .38 and 22 caliber revolvers.

If convicted, those arrested will be meted imprisonment of not more than 20 years, police said.* GPB
