BCHS bowlers grab lead in
Triangular tournament

Bacolod City High School Class 72/76 scored 1,563 pinfalls to top the premiere division, while DLNHS C’75 and NOHS B’97 stay at No. 1 in their categories of the BCNHS/NOHS/DLNHS Triangular Bowlfest for Unity 2013 at the Super Lanes of the Goldenfield Commercial Complex in Bacolod City.

The BCNHS led by commercial player Marlon Jochico and Lea Javier, tallied 6,129 pinfalls, while former frontrunner NOHS Class ’82. led by Mae Trayfalgar and Azela Tejada slid to No.2 with 6,106 points.

Romel Jover’s NOHS Class ’74/73 is third with 6,022.

Playing in the same category are BCNHS Batch ’89 with 5,992; BCNHS Class’80/81 Combination, 5,951; BCHS Class’79, 5,919; NOHS Batch ’84, 5,824; DLNHS Class ’77-79, 5,819; NOHS Class ’66/62/68 Combined, 5,752, and NOHS Batch ’91, 5,497.

DLNHS C’75 headed by Rowena Juarez is No.1 in Bracket B with 5,927 followed by NOHS B’90 with 5,826.

Competing in the same group are BCHS C’74 with 5,756; BCHS C’84/86, 5,666; NOHS B’2000-Up, 5,602; BCHS ’73, 5,584; BCNHS ’85 Pirates, 5,513; DLNHS ’78, 5,500; DLNHS ’73, 5,492, and NOHS b’96, 5,403.

At No. 1 in category C is NOHS Batch ’97 piloted by Karl Barbosa with 5,927, while fellow NOHS ’90 is at No. 1 with 5,826.

NOHS Class’80 has 5,742; NOHS C’83, 5,632; NOHS C’98, 5,613; BCNHS B’91, 5,563; NOHS C’70, 5,551; BCHS C’67/68, 5,465; NOHS B’99, 5,411;BCHS ’75, 5,349 and NOHS ’75 SEC, 5,230.

Joe De Leon of NOHS C’70 still holds the men’s highest pinning record with 95, and Ronela Cordero of NOHS ’89 in the women’s side with 94.

Cordero also hold the highest single with 142, and Luisa Lobaton of DLNHS ’77 in triple with 357.

Rey Oreta of BCHS ’72 topped the men’s single with 149, and Johann Genolos of BCNHS ‘80/81 in triple with 380.

The last day of the elimination phase of the championship round is tomorrow.

The top five in each bracket will play in an up-the-ladder system to determine the champions on July 28.

On July 23, NSL will hold a two-game non-rated trio derby at the same venue. Registration is P600.
