City gov’t has
4 new dep’t  heads

BY CHRYSEE SAMILLANO

Four vital offices of the Bacolod City government have been assigned new office heads.

Bacolod City Administrator Rolando Villamor yesterday said Linda Ablanque has been reinstated by Mayor Monico Puentevella as head of the Department of Social Services and Development.

He said the mayor has also designated Dr. Jovy Vergara as head of the City Health Office, Josephus Serrna as head of the Department of Public Services, while Isidro Sun has been designated officer-in-charge of the Office of the Building Official.

The DSSD, CHO, OBO and DPS were formerly headed by Sally Abelarde, Dr. Salome Biñas, Epfraim Hechanova and Nelson Sedillo, respectively.

Villamor said the mayor has given these newly installed department heads a chance to perform their job and expects them to deliver.

Meanwhile, Villamor said since City Accountant Ed Ravena has certified that the city has a surplus of P50 million that the new administration can use, it is the Mayor who will identify where this will be spent.

He said he is certain that Puentevella will address the concerns of the different departments for the needed personnel.*CGS
