A man suspected of stealing the wall clock of a former barangay kagawad was mauled by bystanders at 14 Roxas Avenue in Brgy. 39, Bacolod City, at about 7:30 p.m. Friday.

Station 1 commander, Chief Insp. Levy Pangue, identified the suspect as Romeo Villarosa, 25, of Rodriguez Fire, Brgy. 16, Bacolod.

Investigation showed that Villarosa stole a wooden wall clock, worth P4,000, from the house of Allan Camarite, 49. Villarosa denied that he stole the wall clock, and said he was in the area to get money from a friend, whose name he did not disclose.
