Foodman turns back Mang Inasal,
to take solo lead in TKP Class B

Foodman beat Mang Inasal, 83-75, to take the top spot in the team standings, while Appliance Centrum/LA Gasoline Station stopped Dynamic Metals, 97-94, in Class B of the 13th Tan Kek Pin Memorial Basketball Cup at Bacolod Tay Tung High School Po Hang Gym.

Prior to the match-up, Foodman and Mang Inasal share a 4-1 win-loss card at the top. With the setback, Mang Inasal slipped to No. 2 and shared the spot with ESJ Centre.

Peter Galon led Foodman with 22 points and Ralph Richard Tan finished with 17 as the duo combined for 17 points in the payoff quarter to stop Mang Inasal.

KMH dominates
BCNHS bowlfest

Kami Mga Hubin led the 1 st Team Pirates BCNHS B'85 Bowling Spectacle that ended yesterday at the Super Lanes of the Goldenfield Commercial Complex in Bacolod City.

The KMH bowlers, Joval Damasco, Odong Paran, Otoy Jardio and Cris de Asis, beat Joe & Joe Romano in the final round, 324-288.

Paran topscored for the twice-to-beat champion squad with 114 points, while Jardio and Damascos scored 107 and 103 each.

Jaltas scores OT win
against Mang Inasal

Jaltas Breeders scored 15 points in the extension period to escape Fiesta Gas/JK Marie, 90-84 and booked back-to-back victories last Saturday in the ongoing 2013 Your Basketball Athletic Club President's Cup played at the West Negros University gym in Bacolod City.

Narciso Galang and Ernie Castillo nailed 4 points each in the last 5 minutes of play while teammates Inocencio Tan and Vincent Javelosa had 3 points apiece to lead Jaltras' offense in the final stretch. RJ Pendon and Marlon Caballero connected for a combined 10 points but wasn't enough to out run the Breeders.

In the opening quarter, Jaltas posted a 22-15 advantage with Galang scoring 8 points and Tan with 7 points leading the cast as comrades Arturo Memoria, Castillo and Oscar Aquino combined for 7 points.
