‘Drug peddler' nabbed

A suspected marijuana peddler was arrested Thursday by the police in an entrapment operation in Brgy. Canmoros, Binalbagan, Negros Occidental.

Senior Insp. Albert Sy, Binalbagan police chief, yesterday identified the arrested suspect as Joenar Bitunga.

Sy said the apprehension yielded five suspected dried marijuana cigarets, other paraphernalia, and P100 in cash used as marked money.

Senior Supt. Celestino Guara, caretaker of the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office, lauded Sy and his men for the arrest of Bitunga, who is now facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, in court.*GPB
