for last 2 q’finals seat

Dynamic Metals upset ESJ Centre, 79-75, while Appliance Centrum/ La Gasoline Station squeaked past Fox Shox, 104-103, in the penultimate day of elimination rounds in Class B division of the 13th Tan Kek Pin Memorial Basketball Cup, Wednesday night at the Bacolod Tay Tung High School Po Hang Gym.

It was a night of fourth quarter comebacks with the victory of Dynamic Metalsand Appliance Centrum forcing a triple tie with La Filipina Trading for the last two spots in the quarterfinals. All three teams are now carrying a3-4 win-loss card.

In the Centrum-Fox Shox match-up, Rey Pandoro nailed a free throw with 1.2 seconds left to complete a fourth quarter Centrum/LA Gasoline comeback.

Class ’84 keeps lead in
NOHS bowling tilt

Class ’84 kept the leadership in the premiere division, as Batch ’91 and B’90 stayed on top in their respective divisions of the Negros Occidental High School General Alumni Homecoming 2013 Bowlfest for Unity at the Super Lanes of the Goldenfield Commercial Complex in Bacolod City.

With three more playing days remaining in the championship round, Class ’84 leads the 10-team pack in the Class A category with 3,035 pinfalls, while B’91 and B’90 compiled 2,932 and 2,941 in Bracket B and C, respectively.

Occupying the second spot in the premiere class is Batch ’95 with 2,966 points.
