Moises Padilla to kick off
Hinuptanan Fest Tuesday

The five-day Magayon Hinuptanan Festival 2013 of Moises Padilla, Negros Occidental, will kick off tomorrow on the theme “Sing Praise to the Lord; Tell the Wonderful Things He has Done”, a press release from the town said.

The activity will start with a grand parade that will be participated in by town and barangay officials and employees, and sector representatives, led by Mayor Francisco Nazareno. Other first day events are the opening program, agro trade fair, band competition, ABS-CBN Barangay Kapamilya, praise and worship, and GSM Night live band performance, the press release also said.

On March 20, there will be daycare, medical and dental outreach missions and DepEd Night; DepEd Day, cooking contest, talent night of the search for the Hinuptanan Queen 2013, and live band on March 21; and football tournament, milk drinking, linas contest and festival queen pageant night on March 22.

Festival highlight on March 23 is the Hinuptanan street-dancing competition that will be participated in by barangays 1-7, Odiong, Quintin Remo, Montilla, Magallon Cadre, and Crossing Magallon, with Rep. Alejandro Mirasol (Neg. Occ., 5th District), Gov. Alfredo Marañon Jr. and Board Member Melvin Ibañez as invited guests, the press release added.*

CSC announces exam
venues in Bacolod

The Civil Service Commission Negros Occidental Field Office announced that the April 14 CSE PPT will be administered at the Negros Occidental High School in Araneta Singcang Street, Bacolod City, for the professional level; and at the Domingo Lacson National High School in Sta. Clara Subd., Brgy. Banago, Bacolod, for the sub-professional exam.

Examinees are advised to be at the venue not later than 7 a.m. and bring with them one black or blue ball pen, two pieces of #2 lead pencil, and valid identification cards. Calculators, or any electronic gadgets are not allowed inside the examination room, a press release from the CSC said.

In case of lost receipts or notices, examines may still take the examinations as long as they bring their valid IDs. In case of lost IDs, examinees are advised to get another before the examination, since the CSC strictly adheres to the No ID, No Exam policy, the press release also said.

Notices of room assignment will be accessible online at www.csc.gov.ph, or at www.cscnegrosoccidental.webs.com homepage soon. Examinees unable to secure their notices from April 2-12 may check the website, or personally get a copy at the CSC Field Office at the Provincial Administration Building, Aguinaldo Street, in Bacolod, or at the examination venue on the day of the test, as these are no longer sent through mail.

Raffle winners known

The winners of the 60th Diamond Jubilee raffle draw of the University of St. La Salle Integrated School Parents' Association Inc. was announced yesterday.

First prize winner was Claudine Varela, while Colline Bayona, Isabelo Ganaba Jr., Josha Maxine Piodos, and Alexi Severino won second, third, fourth and fifth prizes, respectively

The consolation prize winners were Jun Jamora, Christine Ferraris, Gina Ramos, Edgardo Chavez, Maradoni Louisse Ambrad, Richard Degojas, Mia Paz Lima, Jerry Torres, Ramon Llacer, Allan Hsu, and Paolo Severino.
