The tradition of the Manaloto sisters to celebrate their birthdays at St. Vincent's Home for the Aged in Barangay Tangub, Bacolod, continued for Lina Manaloto Lim yesterday.
A thanksgiving mass officiated by Fr. Narciso de la Cruz at 10 a.m., opened the celebration. He delivered a very good homily about the Lenten season and thanked the celebrator for thinking about the elderly on her birthday.
The lolos and lolas sang happy birthday to Lina, and enjoyed the dishes prepared by the Bascon cooks.
The Manaloto clan came in full force, and included Lolo Tony and Lola Ofe, with the third generation, led by eldest granddaughter Niña Lopez, who gave Lina a beautiful bouquet of roses and a birthday cake. Guests and well-wishers included friends from the Casa Maria, Zontians, the travelers' group, high school classmates and special friends of Lina.
It was a very memorable and happy celebration for Lina. May you have many birthdays to celebrate, and the continuous blessings of the God Almighty!
