Sharp, NBG, eye second victory
in Condura Cup BUS G tourney

Opening day victors Sharp and Negros Basketball Group part ways when Condura Cup-Basketball Unified Sports Group 2nd invitational resumes at Po Hang gym of Bacolod Tay Tung  High School on Sunday.

The TV makers will collide against NBG at 1 p.m. following the 11 a.m. encounter between NHOJs and PESO BAYS Club.  Deding's Eatery and Panasonic square off at 2:30 p.m. with the Foodmasters itching to boil the Refmakers, who froze PESO BAYS, 107-75, in their last outing.

Deding's succumbed to Sharp, 95-106, and will try to barge into the win column.  Sharp is gunning for its second win and share solo leadership but rival NBG is looking for vengeance too and the lead.  Bert Pabon, Julius Prietos, Randy Cawaling and Bernardo Operiano were former Huskies who formed another group two years ago.

The ex-La Sallians donning the NHOJs uniform may have shed off the rusts and go for a kill over PESO BAYS Club to erase the stigma of its 86-111 defeat from NBG.  Rey Salido and his PBBoys are also determined to shrug off its 75-107 defeat from Panasonic, who were too hot from the arc.

Richard Superal, Johnjohn Chua, Felipe Luciano, Mawi Huelar, Christian Escote, however, are expected to display their skills and go for the win.

The tournament adopts a round robin elimination, knockout quarterfinal, a twice-to-beat semis and a knockout final.

It employs a triple quarter of- seven minutes passerelle in the first half and a standard second half with open substitution.*with a report from H. Doble
