Ona to inaugurate
hospital annex

BY CARLA GOMEZ

Health Secretary Enrique Ona is arriving Saturday for the blessing of the P102,058,021 Teresita L. Jalandoni Provincial Hospital Annex Building in Talisay City, Negros Occidental.

Also to be blessed is the MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) machine donated by the DOH to the hospital, Provincial Planning and Development Officer Marlin Sanogal said.

The annex that has a 150-bed capacity also houses nine clinics and six private rooms, she said.

The new building increases the capacity of the TLJPH from 100 to 250 beds.

Ona, Gov. Alfredo Marañon Jr. and Assistant Health Secretary Paulyn Jean Rosell-Ubial will deliver messages at a program at the annex that will start at 1 p.m. Saturday.

Board Member Melvin Ibañez, Sangguniang Panlalawigan Committee on Health chairman, will deliver the opening remarks, Talisay Mayor Eric Saratan and EB Magalona Mayor David Albert Lacson will give responses, and Silay Mayor Jose Montelibano will given the closing remarks.*CPG
