Eleven assisted local producers of the Technology and Livelihood Development Center will participate in the 2013 International Food Exposition Philippines next week at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.
TLDC food sector in-charge Minzy Joy Rojo, yesterday said this is the first time local food producers will be highlighted in the international exposition through the Center International Trade Expositions and Missions, an attached agency of the Department of Trade and Industry.
Rojo said the 11 producers will occupy five booths at the exposition sponsored by Gov. Alfredo Marañon Jr.

A total of 17,649 farm animals were dewormed, vaccinated, and treated in 12 medical missions conducted by the Provincial Veterinary Office starting February until May 3, its vet mission performance record showed.
Dr. Placeda Lemana, chief of the Animal Health Division, said they conducted vaccination, treatment, deworming, and provided vitamin supplement to carabaos, cattle, poultry, swine, and goats to nine local government units.
They also serviced 10,743 chickens, 2,449 goats, 1,636 swine, 1,550 cattle, and 1,271 carabao, Lemana said.
Bacolod City, through its tourism office, support the 1st Fly-Drive Tour Caravan in Negros Occidental May 16 - 19, a press release from the city said.
Bacolod City Administrator John Orola said Mayor Evelio Leonardia has authorized him to extend full support to the Caravan.
Leonardia said “We will fully support this event because it is an effective way of promoting tourism in our city and province.”
