So many balikbayans are in town to join and celebrate their class reunions in their schools. Among them, are mother and daughter Elba Perez, and daughter Yvette from Brentwood, Los Angeles, who are on a month-long holiday.

Last Friday, Ramon and May Uy honored them with a Hello! And Goodbye Hawaiian Party at May’s Organic Garden in Pahanocoy. The place was full of lovely blooms of different colors, and a very well-manicured garden. Dinner served rated with capital D – Delicious.

The celebrator Yvette is married to Alex Lamasan, a nurse who worked in Orange County while Yvette worked for a big company.

While in town, both enjoyed going out with their own high school and college classmates, savoring all kinds of delicacies, that they missed abroad, and, above all, visiting the new tourism spots like Mambucal, the Bacolod Government Center and other places.

Today, May will bring them to Don Salvador Benedicto town with delicious ba-on to enjoy the cool weather like Baguio as they are leaving Wednesday. To Elba and Yvette, God bless and happy trip!

Remember: God understands our prayers even when we can’t find the words to say them. He never takes something away without giving back something better.
