Token Music Studio
students hold recital

Thirty of the 50 students from the Token Music Studio will hold their recital at the La Proa 2 of the L’Fisher Hotel in Bacolod City from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. tomorrow.

Token Lizares, owner of the studio and one of the voice coaches, said the students who will perform are from 5 to 30 years old.

Lizares said the students are being mentored by John Blasé Gerona and Joebert Monserate for drums and guitar lessons, Nimrod Villamarzo for violin lessons, and Jasper Bayles and Jona Custodio for piano lessons.

Three USLS students
Google ambassadors

Three students of the University of St. La Salle in Bacolod City were named Google student ambassadors in Southeast Asia for school year 2013-2014 recently, a press release from the school said.

ComSci students Franz Kessler Sarmiento, Benj Mikko Adrian Tupas and Nyrmla Kate Grace Orcena will attend the Google Search in Indonesia for Summit on June 19-22 at the Hyatt Regency Yogyakarta, the press release also said.

They are part of the 150 students in Southeast Asia, 19 of them from the Philippines, with seven from La Salle schools.

The program will run for one school year where student ambassadors learn about Google products and programs, plan and host fun events on campus, act as a campus contact, and help Google better understand the culture of each university, the press release added.*
