Thunderbolts, Falcons keep lead
in Condura-BCAN U-12 cagefest

Bacolod Tay Tung High School Thunderbolts won against Mike Lim Basketball Clinic-Stallions, 82-38, and St. John's Institute Falcons over University of St. La Salle-IS, 55-37, and remain the teams to beat in the 12 Under category of the Condura – BCAN Basketball Tournament at the USLS-IS covered court over the weekend.

The Thunderbolts also beat SBS, 70-48, and SJI the LLZ Warriors, 77-48, in the 12 Under category, a press release from BCAN said.

In the 10-Under group, St. Benilde School, BTTHS and USLS are eyeing the top spot in the competition.

6,000 to join National Games

A total of 6,000 athletes from 17 regions throughout the country have confirmed their participation in the coming Philippine National Games, the Philippine Sports Commission said.

The PSC has allocated P20 million for the third edition of the multi-event and another P5 million for the installation of water absorption system.

The PSC will also shoulder expenses of foreign athletes with Filipino parentage who will join the 2013 Philippine Olympic Committee-PNG.
