Bacolod, NegOcc  to sign
Batang Pinoy MOA today

A Memorandum of Agreement will be signed today for the staging of Batang Pinoy 2013 National Championships on November 19 to 23 in Bacolod City this month by the local government of Bacolod City, Province of Negros Occidental, the Philippine Sports Commission and the Philippine Olympic Committee.

Expected to attend the MOA signing are Gov. Alfredo Marañon Jr., Mayor Monico Puentevella, PSC chairman Ricardo Garcia, and POC president Jose Cojuangco Jr.

Bacolod City and Negros Occidental will co-host the competition due to the recent peace and order problem in Zamboanga City, the original venue of the national competition.

Puentevella said in a press release that the city is expecting at least 8,000 delegates from different local government units in the country to come to Bacolod for the Batang Pinoy games.

The public school classrooms and private hotels, are ready to host the delegates, he said.*NAB
