Silverado, NPBC pace NSL bowlfest

Silverado/ASSFBI and NPBC/LJP Trading led in the opening round of the 4th NSL Christmas Cup Non-rated Trio Bowling Tournament at the Super Lanes of the Goldenfield Commercial Complex in Bacolod City.

The winning squads headed by Cecil Ramon Silverio and Gil Villagante, posted similar 1,011 points and lead the nine other teams in the competition.

Silverio, Cesar Sumaylo and Orly Guiljon played for Silverado, while Jam Morales, Hernand Garciniego and Rommel Galvan are members of the LJP bowling team.

Both registered an identical 545 and 1,011 points for the team’s highest single and triple records.

Flores Team of Roger Flores was second with 993 followed by Retro Bowlers of Iran Pielago with 969.

Rowena Juarez’ RJ Stars/NPBC toppled 928; Negros Daily Bulletin rollers, 883; 69Ner’s, 847; Grupo Retirado, 839, and Joe & Joe Romano, 837.

The second round is scheduled tonight starting at 6:30.

Tournament coordinator Elorde Magbanua said they will accept more bowling teams to join the event until today.

Meanwhile, Christmas Cup Open and Non-rated Bowling Tournament 2013 hosted by Sharp Philippines will resume tomorrow at the New Top’s Millennium Plaza Alley in Bacolod City.

ESD Solid Strikers headed by Silverio and Edgar Allan Del Rosario still on top of overall standing in the open division.
