PSC- PHILTA Visayas tourney

Fernando Arguelles of Bacolod City and Tony Rose Raymundo of La Carlota City led their respective teams with three gold medals each in 3rd leg of the Philippine Sports Commission-PHILTA Visayas Junior Tennis Championships held at the Montevista Tennis Courts in Bacolod City over the weekend.

Arguelles stamped his class on 16 and under boys singles by beating  fellow Bacoleño Adrian De Hertogh, 6-3, 6-4, in the finals, then went on to rule the boys 18 and under against Raymark Marcellena of Dumaguete City, 6-0, 6-2.

Teaming up with Marcellana in the 18 and under doubles, Arguelles claimed his third gold in the tournament as they won via walk over against Enrico Gonzaga and Adrian Javier.

NSL non-rated bowlfest
resumes at Super Lanes

Games of the 4th NSL Christmas Cup Non-rated Trio Bowling Tournament will resume tonight at the Super Lanes of the Goldenfield Commercial Complex in Bacolod City with Silverado/ASSFBI hoping to stay on top after two rounds of competition.

The ASSFB led by Cecil Ramon Silverio earned 1,957 points to lead the nine other competitors.

In his team are Romulo Ramos, Cesar Sumaylo, Johann Genolos and Orly Guiljon.

AACI Transport at No. 1 spot in
Inter-Company basketball tilt

An 88-63 victory over JSY Countertrade gave AACI Transport the temporary leadership in Class A, while AACI Trading dealt Huminova Tigers its first setback, 101-88.

This was during the Nov. 15 schedule of the Fil-Sino All Asian Countertrade Inc. 2nd Conference Inter-Company Basketball Tournament at Tay Tung High School Po Hang Gym in Bacolod City.

The Transport guys outplayed Countertrade in the opening quarter as Bren Tajonera scored 13 points and Toffel Tan hit eight for a 22-8 lead.
