Bonus unlikely  to be
less than P35,000

The bonus of the Negros Occidental provincial government employees is not likely to be less than the P35,000 they received last year, provincial Budget Officer Jose Percival Salado said yesterday.

He said the additional P20,000 they received early this year was an incentive for the awards the province received for exemplary services.

The province is vying for another award, that hopefully, it will win so incentive benefits can be given, he said.

The bonus given by the provincial government comes from savings in the budget.

The provincial government has 2,500 employees and its savings is usually not less than P70 million, Salado said.

The second half of the 13th month pay of the Capitol employees was released on November 13, he added.*CPG
