Massacre remembered

Commemoration activities for the fourth year since the Ampatuan Massacre and the third year of the International Day to End Impunity will be held in Bacolod City today, organizers said in their a press release.

A mass to be officiated by Msgr. Felix Pasquin will be held at the St. John Mary Vianney Hall at the third floor of rectory behind the San Sebastian Cathedral at 11 a.m. today.

A "Die-In for Justice" will be held at noon at Rizal Street in front of the Cathedral.

All participants are urged to wear black.

The Ampatuan massacre on Nov. 23, 2009, left 58 victims dead, including 34 journalists.

Gabriela lighted candles and offered flowers at the Marker for Fallen Journalists in Bacolod City, while the Mass Communications Society of the University of Saint La Salle held poetry reading and candle-lighting yesterday,

The Commemoration Committee is composed of National Union of Journalists in the Philippines-Neg. Occ. chapter, Negros Press Club, the Spectrum of USLS and the USLS MassCom Society.*
