Regular and plantilla casual employees of Bacolod City are estimated to receive Performance Enhancement Incentives or year-end bonuses of about P20,000 each, Bacolod Vice Mayor Greg Gasataya said yesterday.
Gasataya said they based the amount on the latest supplemental budget requested by the Office of Mayor Monico Puentevella that was approved by the SP recently.
He said employees hired by the present administration, who have availed of the P4,000 midyear bonus, will possibly receive a yearend of bonus of P24,000 each this December.
“Once finalized by the Office of the Mayor, each employee will receive a bonus of about P24,000”, he added.
Councilor Roberto Rojas, chairman of the SP Committee on Appropriation and Finance, said that out of the P26 million supplemental budget he requested the Mayor specified the amount of P20,000 PEI as entitlement for all qualified employees of the city.
Rojas said they will have an executive-legislative caucus to determine the final amount the Mayor wants to give the employees. They will pass the resolution he requested once the amount for the employees’ year-end bonus is finalized.
Meanwhile, Rojas said the SP passed a resolution yesterday allocating P18 million for the Solid Waste Management project of the Bacolod City Government with a colatilla that the SP be furnished a copy of the city’s continuing contract with Metrowaste Solidwaste Management Corporation for November and December.*CGS
